Washington at 5am

Recently I went on a school trip to America. We first went to New York City then Washington DC. The night before the day we left, one of my teachers told us that she would be going to the Lincoln memorial at 5am to watch the sun rise. At first I wasn't interested but then I thought this really is a once in a life time experience. Out of the 40 people on the trip 6 of us went and I was really pleased  afterwards.

I took my camera in hopes of get some good shots. But alas it was to dark for my shaky hands although, I got a great rack focus shot of the memorial other than that I didn't manage to get anything worth a look.

After the sun started to rise I devised a plan to place the strap and cap underneath the lens and place in on the steps of the memorial — make shift tripod. I got the most beautiful photo of the sun rising behind the Washington monument. It was really amazing and I don't think many people to get to say they watched the sun rise behind the Washington monument with some of the loveliest people in the world.

I really do recommend everyone to visit Washington DC sometime in their life. It really is a beautiful, clean and friendly city. I'd love to return sometime.

The Amazing Race

Lately I been watching the Amazing race. I became familiar with it through the two youtubers involved, Joey Graciffa and Meghan from Strawburry17. At first I was sceptical, I thought it was going to be one of those boring treasure hunt esque shows however, after watching the first 10 minutes I wanted to know where I could sign up. The Amazing Race is an intense race that involves 'detours' and 'road blocks' as the contestant make their way around the world in hopes of winning 1 million dollars.

What really drew me into the show is seeing all the beautiful locations that they get to visit and who really gets to say they've been pearl fishing in Bora Bora or absailing across the alps in Zurich. It's such a shame they don't have a UK version because this show is really a once in a life time experience. Spending this much money on a show in the UK is out of the question which is one of the reasons I love America.  And not just that but it's a shame that you have to be a US citizen to go on the show which, kicks moving to America out of the question.

On a more serious note, I think anybody could be drawn into the show it's not only a great experience for the contestants but for the viewer as they go on a journey with their favourite pair. They've really thought out the show well making sure that there are pairs to suit anyone: mums, friends, siblings and couples. From the first episode you gain insight into the contestants personalities and instantly make relationships.

I strongly recommend watching this show, it really is a great experience for anyone at any age.

The hunger games.

Last night I went and watched the hunger games having already reading the book I was not totally amazed. I'm not the person for reading and I find myself seeing the movie before reading the book 100% of the time and always got annoyed with people saying that the book was so much better but I'm now seeing myself saying that exact same thing.

Now don't get me wrong the film is good and worth a watch however I think the way the book was written in first person is more effective than the movie which wasn't narrated and going in I wasn't expecting a copy of the book but I was expecting them to pinpoint little details because I think that the book let's us see a clear difference of how they live and how the Capitol live and how katniss was amazed by every little detail also while they were in the arena I think they made that quick and short and cut down the formation of the relationship between katniss and rue and katniss and peeta. To add I didn't like how they showed things that never happened in the first book like Haymitch talking to the gamemaker and district 11 rebelling.

Overall I was disappointed because it wasn't I person wanted to see but I do recommend seeing it as its nice to see someone's rendition of a book because some of the scenery and settings really did blow my mind.

Printed Bottoms

Print is in again... but this time not just tops but trousers especially trousers and jeans, I went to Zara and found the most amazing printed wide leg trousers and since then I've been seeing them none stop.
topshop £40
Zara £59.99
But if thats a bit pricey I guarantee you that you can find some in newlook or primark. When it comes to jeans that best place in topshop because they have the little boutiques like Motel who do a wide range of print to please every. Places like Zara your unlikely to find printed jeans give or take a light acid wash. You can also look in Riverisland for more exciting colours however they're still the same price as topshop. Now if you looking for coloured jeans on a budget I recommend H&M they do a lot of different colours and shades that are from £14.99 upwards. Also if you really don't know what you want in terms of bottoms have a look at your local TKMaxx they always have something different but you can never skim in there you have to look closely.

Like here shown by Jessica Alba just because your wearing statement bottoms doesn't mean you have to wear plain and boring on top always experiment, chose colour featured in the jeans to make them stand out however the only rule to remember is don't clash prints wear different print always bugs me however don't let that stop you if you think it looks good, go for it :)

Stay Styling,

Atonement.

a·tone·ment/əˈtōnmənt/
Reparation for a wrong or injury.

Not that I feel inclined to use a big word rather the word feels most acceptable in this case. This is not a fashion or beauty post rather a post of only self atonement. Getting to the point, I don't care. You see I have this ,you can call it, problem I don't care. I try to care but cant. I try to care about current affairs it touches me I get upset I even say I'm going to do something, but I don't. I try to care about the things my friends tell me, but I don't and my friends don't know. In some cases it is useful for instance; when you say something to me that maybe be unpleasant I do not to care. So how do I tackle this tedious problem you  may ask? I picture myself in their position. I picture myself starving. I picture myself losing a loved one. but doesn't always work. So what is the solution? nothing this reflects on my personality and now you may be thinking how much of an awful person I am. However, can we blame all aspects of our personality down to us? even if we try to change?

This is my flaw. I don't care.

No one is flawless even when they're symmetrical.

This moral of this little rant ,ish, post is that no one is what they seem. Its impossible to completely know someone you don't know what they are fighting within them, whether it be self confidence or self assurance. And even if you know, you cannot judge them as they maybe going to repair it.

Wants and Haves.

its been a long time since I posted so I wanted to post about some new things I've recently bought.
First I've been looking for some sort of ear cuff for a while and I've been into mismatched earrings and strange statement earrings recently. So in topshop I found something similar to this...
these are from topshop not sure  how much these particular  ones are but the one I have is a diamond stud instead of the feather and they where £6.50.

But when I was in topshop I was looking at these earrings that are like stretchers I guess. I also saw some other cuffs I really want mainly the snake one- OMG AMAZING- and just some simple long stick earring.

I also got some shoes from topshop that I'm so excited to wear, They where originally £50 but I got them for.... £15! how amazing is that?!

I finally decided that I would just go into primark and just have a long- because before I've always been reluctant to go into- now your thinking I went to the womans but I didn't I went to the mens and found a lot of promising things but since I wasn't looking to spend much I only got one thing I jumper, it was so much better quality then the womans clothes and there was a wide selection.
                                  Trescimmiesagge
I'm so impressed with the quality I may have to pay the men's another visit.
So now we get to the part of my wants...
wants
H&M shirt £30/ Topshop boots £69/ Casio watch £40/ H&M necklace £7.99 (sorry I put a picture the bracelet but it looks the same)/ Topshop holdall £95/ Topshop loafers £28  (I have them in leopard print)/ Chanel Mat Lumere foundation £30.

Anyways, Stay styling...
